Little Carter isn't so little anymore! He is a tank!! 
(And cute as can be!) I was so happy to have him snuggle in and fall asleep on my shoulder! Paige is not a snuggler and likes to be put down when she is tired. I'm sure I will be grateful for this soon enough, but I loved getting my baby fix from Carter, even if he is double her weight!
I think the weather has a secret agenda because every time they come down to visit, it is abnormally hot or even humid! The only time it has ever been humid, has been when they were here. So, when the Mellows rolled into town, mother nature decided it was time to break 100 degrees for the first time this year! (It had been high 80's to low 90's before then.)
We spent some time relaxing in my parents pool.
Ashlyn was a little fish last summer, but was really cautious getting back in the water this year. 
I hope with some practice and encouragement, she will be swimming confidently again in no time.
We got to spend a lot of time with Brynne while Jen was at girl's camp. I've always loved my tiny niece, but somehow she has wiggled even deeper into my heart
My dad came home from work and said hi to everyone and then spotted Paige asleep in her car seat. He walked over and sat down next to her and was just watching her sleep when I went for my camera. I love moments like that. I had just pulled it out when he was getting up to avoid being splashed in his work clothes. But, I got this picture, which will remind me of the picture that my heart took. :-) I love my family.
As usual, we ate too much, stayed up too late and left with our hearts full.
It was such a beautiful setting to honor those who have passed and to celebrate those who have survived.
The older kids were gone that weekend, but we wanted to bring the little ones to be a part of the event and remember their Grandma Ronna.
Danale's sweet friend, Shauna, had shirts made with Ronna's picture for us to wear during the walk.
Aunt Linda always reminds me so much of Ronna. Like Ronna, there is something very comforting just being around her.
It was a little emotional as we got there, but it was so good to spend the day with friends and family.
The Vineyard was beautiful and we couldn't have asked for better weather.
Ronna would have loved Ashlyn's sense of style!
They had a wall of honor, with pictures and stories of those who had passed and a table where you could write a message or a memory.
I choked up reading the messages to the wife who was gone, the sister who was missed and the dad who wouldn't be there to see his daughter graduate college and the wobbly letter from a young child to a mother. There was an unspoken strength being surrounded by people who understood, people who had suffered the same heart ache, fought the same battles and came together to support those still fighting and raise money to hopefully help those who will be fighting in the future. 
I can't believe how much our family has grown! 
We feel so blessed that Paige made it here to us safely.
She has such a sweet personality that it has earned her the nickname "Sweets".
