We were all so excited about our first snow! We woke up in the morning and saw snow fluttering to the ground.
It dusted our roof top
and covered the windshield of our car. We had to use a broom to sweep it off and made a note to buy a snow scraper. Not being able to see out of our side windows on the way to school, we decided rolling down the windows would be a good idea to get off the snow. Laughing, we quickly learned that it just falls INSIDE the car when you do that!
They were giddy when they got out of the car at school. I watched the snow falling on the heads of the rest of their unimpressed classmates and laughed at the smiles on my kids faces!!
Later that day, as I was coming down my stairs, I saw this out my window:
The storm was short lived. The sun came out and it was beautiful!!
Ashlyn was so excited about the snow and didn't believe me when I told her she would need a coat if she wanted to go outside. She stomped around on the back patio for a few minutes and finally agreed it was "a little cold" and we compromised with a sweater.
The kids played outside until they were soaked through and cold and then came in to cozy up by the fire.
The snow was all melted and gone within a couple of days, but it was a fun teaser of things to come.
