San Juan, Puerto Rico

We spent the next day in San Juan, Puerto Rico on an Acampa Adventure Tour. (The Mucaro River & Zipline Rainforest 1/2 day Adventure to be exact.) We had a blast!!! Our guides picked us up at the port and drove us to where our adventure would begin. There was 10 of us, so they didn't book anyone else on the tour and we had the guides all to ourselves. They were very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They taught us all about the rainforest- what was poisonous, what was edible, and even what leaf would be the best if you needed to use the bathroom!

Here we are at the head of the trail... All clean and ready to go!
Off we go!

The water was low and slow moving over the rocks in most places. The exposed rocks were slippery and our guides said it was easier to just trudge straight up the middle, in the water.

It got steeper as we went and quickly became the "adventure" we were promised.
Sometimes, we found ourselves waist deep in wateror searching for just the right place to hold on where our fingers wouldn't slip Sometimes, we found ourselves putting our trust in our guides, who promised to catch us if we started to fall.We laughed,we challenged ourselves, and cheered each other on.

Whiled I waited on a zipline platform, our guide said, "Do you see the purple tarantula? They are usually all over that one!" Yikes!!! ( Nope, didn't see 'em.)We held on and sailed through the trees Sometimes we were brave and tried new tricks. Some landings were more "interesting" than others. We pulled ourselves across the ravine
we smiled,

We rested

we rappelled

We made memories and strengthened friendships that will last a lifetime.
