Tenya Lodge

In November, the kids had a day or two off school, so we decided to take a quick over night stay at the Tenaya Lodge near Yosemite with some friends. Austin had just made the Varsity basketball team and couldn't miss practice, so he had to stay behind.

I really don't like pregnant pictures of me, but I promised myself I wouldn't keep them out of the blog. This is me right now and I just have to deal with it. I just wish my tummy was the only thing that looks pregnant!

We spent the first night that we were married at the Tenaya Lodge, but hadn't been back since then. It brought back so many good memories! The Lodge is beautiful and cozy. The kids loved seeing all the grounds workers busy decorating for Christmas.

We spent most of our time in and around the indoor pool and hot tub. Haley and Peyton and Jason and Ashlyn.

I spent a lot of time just soaking my feet in the hot tub. As usual, Jason was very protective of me and the baby, and would remind me when he thought it was time for me to get out again, so I wouldn't over heat.Jessica and Clara Aaron refereeing the chicken fights

Heather brought her hot chocolate maker, so we sat around the pool until late, drinking hot chocolate and playing games, while the kids jumped in and out of the pool and played in the game room near by.

The next day we took the kids on some hiking trails near the hotel.Ashlyn got cold and borrowed Jessica's sweat shirt. I thought it was cute.

The Gang

Sweet little Peyton fell asleep on the way back, while hitching a ride on her mom's back.
We had lunch outside on the beautiful grounds and watched the kids play. Then, we headed inside to warm up by the huge fire in the lobby. It was so relaxing and left us wishing we could stay another day.
