Beach House and the Boardwalk

We spent last weekend with friends and family, soaking up the sun and enjoying the cool breeze at the beach in Rio Del Mar. Jen found us a huge house in Aptos to stay at.I don't think my head hit the pillow before 3 AM all weekend! We sat around this fabulous living room talking and laughing until we couldn't keep our eyes open any longer.The kids held out as long as they could, playing pool, Wii, and hanging with the grown ups, until one by one, they fell asleep.We spent the days perfectly lazy, with our toes in the sand at our favorite beach. We always say we are going to try out another spot, but after driving around, we always end up at the beach in Rio Del Mar.
The big kids flew home from Washington DC on Saturday. I picked them up from the airport and brought them straight to the beach. The kids were so excited to see each other!! (Thanks Jen, for capturing the moment!) Thursday night was $10 night (with a Coke can) at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. So, we took the families and enjoyed a night playing with the kids.
We had so much fun that we decided to go back the next night. My mom offered to watch the little ones, who were a little tired anyway from playing at the beach all day.I forgot how much I love roller coasters!!! So much fun!!!!But seriously, this is the funniest picture I have ever seen!!!In between rides, the guys played a few games. One of the games was a pitching game where you had to guess how fast your pitch would be. If it matched the number that came up on the screen, you won a hat. ALL of the guys won a hat! :-)

We had an absolute blast and didn't go home until the place closed down. Good times. Good Memories.
