Halloween started off with a trip up to Salt Lake to Primary Children's for Lauren's follow up to see if she would need surgery.
We tried to entertain ourselves while we waited for the doctors to read her new X-rays and decide what to do. We took pictures, read all the posters on the walls, tried to find matching bones in our bodies like on the pictures and sang the Hokey Poky. It took forever!! But they came back with good news. No surgery. Her arm stayed in place!
I was surprised when my doorbell started ringing at 4PM with trick-or-treaters! I got a couple pictures of the kids before we went out to trick or treat.
Jessica went as "a fat girl" (I wasn't sure how I felt about it at first, but I love her self confidence and it ended up being pretty funny!!), Ashlyn went as super-girl, Paige as a bunny, Lauren as Daphne from Scooby-doo, Austin as a skate boarder.
Can you believe how good Lauren looks with orange hair?! Who can pull that off?
Jessica had been so sweet to Lauren since she broke her arm and even agreed to let Lauren come along with her and her friends to trick or treat that night. We met up with our friends at 5:30 to take the kids out together. They said it's just too cold once it gets dark, so everyone starts early.
The little ones are always the most fun to watch! It's so new and exciting for them.
Austin stayed home the first part of the night to answer the door and pass out candy and then met up with his friends later on.
We brought the wagon to pull Paige, but by the end of the evening
all of the kids were trying to pile in! The houses are much farther apart than where we lived before! Jason got a work out!
We ran into Jessica and Lauren and their friends and noticed Jessica had done a quick costume change! She said it was too hard to walk around in her fat suit! Haha! She made a cute witch.
