Snow Fun!

November brought us several days of snow!
I could sit and watch it fall for hours if I had time.  It is just so pretty and different than what I'm used to.  I thought it was cute when I found the girls looking at the window when they noticed the first few flakes start to flutter to the ground!  They sat at the window until the snow covered the ground!  (It didn't take too long.)
Ashlyn couldn't keep herself inside any longer!  She just had to get outside and experience it!  On a side note, I haven't been able to get Ashlyn dressed since she was 3.   She knows exactly what she wants to wear and there isn't anyone who can change her mind!

After several attempts, I was able to convince her to put on a coat!
She played and stomped and laughed for hours!  I loved seeing her so happy about the snow!

Jason sent me this picture he took from his office window.  BEAUTIFUL!
When Austin and Jessica came home, they weren't about to come inside either!

Ashlyn decided she was ready for full snow gear!
They had their first snow ball fight

They built a snowman because... you have to built a snowman when there is snow!

There was not a single person outside in our entire neighborhood!  All of their front yards were peacefully blanketed with snow while ours was all chunked up from the kids playing.  I'm sure they all sat in their warm houses and laughed at their new neighbors from California!
My brother called to see if we wanted to come over and go sledding with him and his two little girls.  The kids were still outside playing and Paige was napping, so he brought the girls to us!  It was almost dark by the time they got there, but that didn't stop the fun!
We built a little run in my side yard and used the sand and snow shovels to keep the snow packed and covering the ground.

When our fingers were numb, we came inside for a little hot chocolate and to warm up.

The next morning, Jason and Austin shoveled the driveway for the first time.  Jessica was able to document the moment.  I laughed at the different "uniforms" to get the job done!  Jason in his shorts and t-shirt and Austin in full snow gear!  Haha!

The boys got creative and used a knee board covered with a garbage bag to use for a sled!
We did go out a buy a couple sleds.  The kids played on them every day until the snow melted.

I love how everything looks all covered in white as the sun goes down!
